Delicious asparagus soup with just the right touch of cheddar. Add sausage for a delightful surprise. Whisk contents of package into 6 cups of water. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. While the soup is simmering, cook one pound of crumbled sausage and 16 oz. of asparagus tips or asparagus stir fry. Simmer an additional 20 minutes. Garnish with shredded cheese and sliced green onion. Makes 4 quarts.
